UJIMA

The Ujima program brings to life the principles of collective work and responsibility by building strong relationships with former students and securing valuable partnerships with campus and business entities, enhancing our efforts to actualize our purpose and creating impactful opportunities for all involved.

Previous Events

Afro-Latinx Festival

The Afro-Latinx Festival is a creative and exciting way to celebrate and highlight the culture of the Afro-Latinx community. This year, we will celebrate during Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15) with education about this community through dance, cuisine, music, and poetry. Our organizations want to bring awareness to a part this part of the African diaspora.

Co-Sponsor: MSC CAMAC - A Latinx Programming Committee

Black Aggie Family BBQ

The Black Aggie Family BBQ, is a social event held during Family Weekend to bring together Black Aggie families for fun, food and fellowship. The Texas A&M Family Weekend is a special time dedicated to Aggie parents and family members and gives students an opportunity to express their gratitude to those who have impacted their lives. Held each spring, it is a longstanding tradition that provides a host of events all over campus.
